“Whistling in the grave yard” is an American Idiom meaning an attempt to stay cheerful in a dire situation; ignoring an upcoming hazard, hoping for a good outcome.
“Whistling in the grave yard” I usually do this when I’m afraid you know, to take my mind off of what I’m afraid of, pretending it not an issue.
COVID-19, Corona-virus or whatever you want to call it, it’s real. As much as I try to ignore the results of this virus, I must realize that I am in the vulnerable age range and physical susceptibility.
Even though I try not to take this virus personally, I see this virus as an attack of my faith, my person-hood, and my way of life. Prov. 3:5, 6 says “Trust the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path”.
So as I seek the Lord to see how to deal with this enemy, my suggestion is for you do the same. Stop whistling, and Trust that Jesus has all in his control.
